Each of our counsellors are fully qualified and members of British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. (BACP). We are passionate about the work we do and ensure we are ethical in the way we conduct the counselling service and ourselves.
Our experience ranges are: relationship difficulties , divorce/separation, abuse, childhood trauma, bereavement/loss, depression/anxiety, anger, stress, low self esteem, eating disorders/addictions, lack of fulfilment and direction, loneliness/alienation and work difficulties.
Who we are
Debbie Langdon, BA (Hons), MBACP
Debbie has been providing support to many people who have faced challenges that have overwhelmed them, and which in some instances has taken away their autonomy and ability to enjoy life. Prior to training to become a counsellor she worked alongside people affected by crime, giving her an insight into the impact of crime on vulnerable members of society. This gave her the incentive to explore alternative ways to support people facing such difficulties.Debbie qualified as an Integrative relational Counsellor having completed a 3-year degree. She has worked with a number of different presenting issues, ranging from depression, relationship difficulties, loss and bereavement to addiction and the impact of abuse. She also works with clients in a work based setting locally, and provides counselling to young people in the London Borough of Hounslow.
Judy Walker, DipN, MA, MBACP
Judy is a former nurse and NHS administrator. She gained a Masters in Integrative Relational Counselling & Psychotherapy at Roehampton University. Her way of working involves a blend of psychodynamic, person-centred and cognitive-behavioural approaches. She is currently undertaking training in Schema Therapy, an approach developed by Dr Jeffrey Young for clients with long-term & complex difficulties. She has experience in the NHS, higher education and charity counselling services, working with a diverse range of clients whose difficulties have commonly included depression, loss, trauma and abuse. She has a particular interest in interpersonal/relationship difficulties. She seeks to provide safe place where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings in confidence and without judgment, with the aim of gaining a better understanding of themselves, their lives, and ultimately of finding greater peace and fulfillment.
Ruth Scott, BA (Hons), MBACP
Ruth is a counsellor / psychotherapist who trained at both Birkbeck University and Kingston College, gaining a Higher Certificate and BA (Hons.) in Integrative Relational Counselling. She works with individuals using a mixed relational approach combining Psychodynamic, Person-centred, Gestalt Psychotherapy and CBT with mindfulness. Through her counselling practice, Ruth has been able to develop her interest in listening to, understanding and working with clients and their unique, individual stories, supporting them in the navigation of their lives and emotional journey. She has trained with CRUSE, counselling adults with bereavement support. Ruth started working at New Malden Counselling Service in 2013.
Nicky Green, BA (Hons), MBACP
Nicky’s counselling training enables her to draw on a range of therapeutic skills to best suit an individual’s needs. She seeks to provide a safe space which is supportive, warm and respectful of the experiences that people have had in their lives. She has worked as a counsellor at New Malden for the last 2 years as well as in general practice, working with a diverse range of problems and issues. Nicky’s background is health and wellbeing, supporting individuals and the organisations they work within. Her experience in this field led her to value greatly the impact of mental health on overall wellbeing. Nicky appreciates the uniqueness of the counselling relationship and its potential to tap into any individual’s inherent strengths for making their own choices in life.
Elisabetta Tamiazzo, BA (Hons), MBACP
Elisabetta is a qualified counsellor / psychotherapist holding a Higher Certificate in Person Centred Therapy and a BA (Hons.) in Integrative Relational Counselling. Elisabetta is currently training as an EFT (Emotionally Focus Therapy) couples’ therapist. She has experience in the NHS counselling services and the corporate work environment, working with a diverse range of clients whose difficulties have commonly included anxiety, stress, depression, loss, trauma, abuse and relationship difficulties. She works with individuals and couples using a mixed relational approach combining Psychodynamic, Person-centred, EFT and CBT with mindfulness and coaching. Elisabetta seeks to provide a safe, contained and supportive environment where clients are encouraged to explore their innermost thoughts and feelings without judgment.
